- Program to Include Exclusive Preview Clip of Henriksen-starrer ‘Godkiller’ -

San Francisco, CA, February 26, 2009 - Halo-8 Entertainment has announced the program for Wondercon’s “Comic Books and Indie Movies” panel, which takes place Saturday February 28th from 1:30 - 2:30pm and will include preview clips from much anticipated indie releases as well as a panel of innovative indie filmmakers.

The Screening Program will include:

- An exclusive preview clip from the upcoming Illustrated Film titled GODKILLER (based on the comic book of the same name), which stars Lance Henriksen, Bill Moseley, Tiffany Shepis, Davey Havok (singer of A.F.I.), and Justin Pierre (singer of Motion City Soundtrack). The Illustrated Film is a new movie format that mixes elements of anime, radio drama, video games, and motion comics. Writer/Director Matt Pizzolo and Producer Brian Giberson will be on-hand to discuss the project and their process in developing the new filmmaking style they’ve dubbed Illustrated Films.

- A preview clip from the upcoming DVD XOMBIE: DEAD ON ARRIVAL, the megapopular flash-animated series that spawned the Devil’s Due comic book series XOMBIE: RE-ANIMATED. Bloody-Disgusting.com called Xombie “one of the best online animated series to date” and Fangoria called it “a web phenomenon.” The DVD hits stores on March 31, 2009, but Halo-8 will have a limited number of DVDs available on-site for the event.

The Panelists will include:

- Matt Pizzolo, President of Halo-8, award-winning writer/director of the cult film THREAT and writer/director of upcoming Illustrated Films GODKILLER and HOW I LOST MY VIRGINITY -BY ALEXANDRA JONES.

- Brian Giberson, Head of Production for Halo-8, producer and technical designer of upcoming Illustrated Films GODKILLER and HOW I LOST MY VIRGINITY -BY ALEXANDRA JONES.

- David Gregory, director of TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE: THE SHOCKING TRUTH, THE SPAGHETTI WEST, and his new horror film PLAGUE TOWN which is currently playing film festivals. David also distributed the comic book adaptation GWENDOLINE.

- Kurly Tlapoyawa, director of a scene in SLUMBER PARTY SLAUGHTERHOUSE: THE GAME and one of the creative forces behind the grindhouse horror film GIMME SKELTER, written & directed by underground comix writer Scott Phillips. Kurly is also a stuntman who appears in the upcoming films CRANK 2 and GAME.
